  1. Choosing a Mobile Phone Contract

    I have just started looking for a new mobile phone as my old contract is expiring, and I am thinking of changing brands and network providers too.

    I have always been an avid BlackBerry user, but recently three things have lead me to look elsewhere:

    1) My friends Android phones

    A friend of mine recently got a Samsung Galaxy and all I can say is WOW! I had not realised how powerful some of the new apps for smart phones have become, and the reason for my lack of knowledge? BlackBerry apps are lagging behind. They tend to be expensive and there are fewer of them. For example, If you want an instant messaging app for BlackBerry all you can get is a trial version of an otherwise very expensive messager.

    2) Outages on BlackBerry Internet

    There is no excuse for this RIM! I actually pay more for this service than I would if I got a handset from another manufacturer, the reason being that BlackBerry force its customers to use BlackBerry Internet instead of the carriers own network. Now, I am paying more money for something that does not even work properly!

    3) My Network operates a “new customers only” policy

    I am changing my network as they will not offer me (a long time loyal customer) the same deals they offer to someone walking in off the street.

    I have to say I have found the whole process both frustrating and confusing, I read somewhere that there are as many as three million permutations of mobile phone deals currently available, which I guess is why comparison sites have become popular.
    At least for me, I knew what handset I wanted (I am going with the Samsung Galaxy S, a GREAT Android phone) and how many minutes I needed.

    Armed with that information its simply a case of finding the best deal. The site I used was “mobile phone deals” (strangely enough) which lists huge numbers of deals in its database.

    There are lots of comparison sites you can use, but I liked that one as the search criteria were very specific. If you know what you want, then its a good site to use, though perhaps not so good if your requirements are a little “fuzzy”.

    Anyway, I will soon be the proud owner of a powerful new Android phone for less money than I am currently paying :) .


  2. Snookie Recommmends HCG Diet

She hinted that another celebrity friend of hers JWOWW introduced her to the diet plan that has performed beyond her expectations in cutting down on her weight.

    The legendary musician, Britney Spears is also reported to be using the HCG diet. This means that there could be dozens of celebrities out there who are also using the HCG diet only that they are yet to come out and declare it in public.

    HCG hormone diet is available in both drops put on the tongue and injection. The drops can easily be bought over the internet from various websites, but the injection can only be found in a registered hospitable.

    However most of the websites selling the HCG diet are not trustworthy. They sell fake diets that end up not working as the original. Some people have taken advantage of the effectiveness and high demand of the diet to con people off their hard earned money. They offer cheap diet plan and even do not provide a guarantee or contact information on their sites. Buyers are therefore advised to be on the lookout for such scams on most websites purporting to sell HCG diets.

    Buyers out looking for HCG diet plan are therefore cautioned to consult widely before buying from any unknown vendor especially over the internet. The HCG diet is available on drops over internet stores but the injection version of it must be acquired from a qualified physician. Since the HCG diet works by affecting the hormonal balance in the body it is always wise to use it under a doctor’s guide to avoid future complications.

  3. Anti Aging Products – Do They Work?

    What do anti aging products do?  Well, you probably know the answer to that :)

    They help us look and feel younger.  And having a good anti aging product is like having youth in a bottle.  We feel like if we have the bottle, we have our youth.  It’s not always that easy though.

    Unfortunately, there is no exact scientific research that tells us which are the best products for anti aging.  There are so many ingredients in all the creams and lotions, and so many ways to apply it, it’s often difficult to tell what to buy.  And even worse, it’s difficult to tell which products NOT to buy, and which products will actually cause a bad reaction in our skin.

    Most anti aging products work as a moisturizer.  They will help to relieve dry skin and also skin with small blemishes.  The moisturizer will penetrate the skin as best as it can to revitalize the moisture within. There are certain vitamins and compounds that are put in the lotions to help with this as well.

    Many people like to start off with natural anti aging products.  These are often not as dangerous as the ones you might buy in a store.  By dangerous I mean you won’t have a reaction to them and they won’t harm your skin even more.

    But if you do decide to try the products you might buy at a cosmetics store, make sure you read the ingredients thoroughly.  Whether you have wrinkles, dark circles, puffy face, fine lines around your eyes, or uneven skin, it’s important for you to know exactly what you are putting on your face.


  4. Aging Sucks, Right?

    As you age, unfortunately it’s easy to tell because of all of the sagging skin and wrinkles that appear.  Basically, flaws in your skin. And when this happens, most people want to turn back the hands of time.  While aging can be nice, some aspects like the beauty aspect can be awful.

    As people age, they worry more and more about their health and their appearance.  And thus they turn to a multitude of anti-aging products to help fight the aging process. These products can do many things, like help remove wrinkles, help even out the skin’s pigmentation, remove acne and and scars from acne, ligten age spots, and much more.

    And when you go to the local cosmetics store, there is a huge variety of products available to help with the skin problems due to aging.  Most of these products will help get rid of of the top layer of your skin to reveal younger and new skin underneath.  These are generally known as exfoliators.

    Other creams try to penetrate the skin and get underneath it to help it form new collagen cells.  Collagen helps the skin appear younger and tighter.

    More often than not you will have to try out the many products that are available before you buy them.  You can get help from the store workers to help you find products to try.  Then once you find something you like, you can order online.  You also go online for information about these problems as well.

    When you go to try a product, try ones that help cleanse and moisturize the skin.  Lots of these products are good if you have dry or wrinkly skin.  There are even different creams for around your eyes if you have dark circles under eyes or other puffiness around your eyes.

    But remember, these products are the the end-all-be-all of your anti aging regimen.  You should still be eating healthy, exercising, and staying out of the sun.  And don’t forget your sunscreen!


  5. Travel to NYC on a Budget!

    I have spent a good deal of time in New York, so just a quick post about traveling to NY on a budget. 

    The easiest way by far to save some money while traveling is on the hotel.  And luckily, there are quite a few cheap hotels all over the New York area.  I’m just going to briefly touch on a few here…

    Let’s start of in midtown, which is in the middle of New York City.  This is a great area to be staying, as it is surrounded by plenty of shopping, bars, and restaurants.  Take a look at the GEM hotel. It is very affordable.  Another good and cheap hotel is Hotel Carter.  This one is very close the the Public Library.

    If you want to stay near Chinatown, you will find lots of great choices.  To begin with, take a look at Mayor Hotel.  Also of interest is the New World Hotel.  The nice thing about this area is you get the great culture of not only Chinatown, but also Little Italy as well.

    Are you a Yankees fan?  If so, you could stay in the Bronx an be near the Bombers.  There is a Days Inn right at Yankee Stadium, so you can just get up and go right to your seats!

    Back to the City…if you want to stay in SoHo, your girlfriend will be quite happy.  Well, you will be happy about saving some money on the hotel, and she will be happy about all the shopping in the area.  The Bowery’s Whitehouse Hotel is the place to be in Soho.

  6. Simple Diet For Fat Loss

    After I lost close to 50 pounds, I have been approached by numerous friends asking me how I did it.  When I told them the truth, they thought I was hiding something.  Well, the reality is that it is quite easy to lose fat from your body.  The hard part is keeping it off.  When you are finally able to lose fat, it is generally because you have changed alot about what you eat and also how you exercise.

    If you exercise only twice per week, then that is just not going to cut it.  You need to exercise at least 5 times per week in my experience.  During these 5 days, I would recommend you do at least 3 days of weight lifting, and 2 days of cardio.

    Now as for the purpose of this article, the diet plan, let me just give you a few basics.  I want to keep it simple.  First thing is you want to eat very small meals.  I know it sounds difficult but it is quite easy to do.  What I have found is it is best to prepare food ahead of time so you always have something to eat when you are hungry.

    For breakfast, stick to eggs and oatmeal.  There are alot of health benefits of oatmeal.  And yes, you an eat the yolks!  They are full of healthy fats.  For lunch, stick to salad with chicken.  The idea here is to keep is simple.  Yes, simple is sometimes boring.  But simple is what will allow you to lose weight.  This is a fact!

    For dinner, you again want to eat chicken but eat it with veggies like broccoli.  You can mix in rice and sweet potatoes as well.  And if you get tired of chicken, you can eat salmon as well.  Salmon has all types of awesome healthy fats that your body needs.  Don’t be afraid of fat, you just need the right kind of fat.  And goes for learning how to lose body fat as well as how to lose face fat.

    In between meals eat stuff like nuts, yogurt, and cottage cheese.  Yes, I know some of you think it’s gross.  But it works!
